SAVANTWARS — privacy policy

This policy explains what SAVANTWARS ("we", "us") collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect little and sell nothing.

Playing as a guest

You can play without an account. As a guest we store your progress (ranks, scores, unlocks) in your own browser's local storage — it never identifies you personally. Our servers process a random session identifier, your chosen display name, your IP address (for security, rate-limiting and approximate country), and technical data (browser type, screen size, language, timezone, referring page) to run the game and understand aggregate usage.

If you create a career (account)

When you create an account we ask for a handle, a PIN (stored only as a salted hash — we cannot read it), your name, email address and date of birth. We use these to:

• secure and recover your account and sync progress across devices;
• verify you are at least 13 years old — under-13s cannot create accounts;
• contact you about your account if genuinely necessary.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing.

Gameplay data

We record round scores, ranks, credits, purchases of virtual items, cosmetic choices, and activity events (rounds played, shares, feature use) to operate leaderboards, records, the rank ladder and to improve the game.

Advertising and cookies

SAVANTWARS may display advertising supplied by third parties, including Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
• If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can change that choice at any time from the link in the page footer.

Advertisements are clearly labelled and never disguised as game content or as buttons.

Retention & your rights

Account data is kept while your account exists. You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing privacy@savantwars.com from the address on the account. We will act within 30 days. Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA) you may also have rights to correction, restriction, and portability — the same email handles all of these.

Storage

We use browser local storage (not tracking cookies) to keep your progress and settings. Server data is stored with our hosting provider on servers located in the EU.

If you arrive through one of our own short links (for example a link posted with one of our videos), we set a single first-party cookie that remembers which link it was, for 30 days. It holds nothing but that link's name, it is never shared with anyone else, and we use it only to count in aggregate how many people a given post brought us and how many of them played. It is not used for advertising and does not follow you to other sites.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for SAVANTWARS is the operator of this site, contactable at privacy@savantwars.com. If SAVANTWARS incorporates as a company, this section will be updated with the company's registered name and address, and your rights and our obligations will carry over unchanged.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will note it here with a new date.
